Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Raleigh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is the first time I have ever written a negative review, but after my third unpleasant experience at this Whole Foods location, I feel like I need to say something. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on returning. During my most recent visit, I went through a checkout line where the cashier was extremely friendly and conversational with the woman in front of me. When it was my turn, I greeted her and said hello, but she did not acknowledge me or even look at me. I had brought my own reusable bag. She had already placed my butter into one of the store’s paper bags when I handed her my bag. Instead of simply transferring it, she rolled her eyes and visibly showed her annoyance while taking the items back out and putting them into my bag. I was honestly shocked by the attitude. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and no basic courtesy. I finally said, “This is really rude,” and asked what was wrong, but she still would not look at me or respond. At the end of the transaction, she handed me my receipt and sarcastically said, “Have a lovely day.” What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was what happened immediately afterward. The woman behind me came up to the register, a

Absolutely love this store. So many beautiful flowers oh and the groceries are great too. There is such a huge selection of foods and drinks and coffee, if I could I would be here for a few hours taking my time walking down the aisles. It's very clean and well kept.

I will say if you plan on coming here for the oysters the seafood staff will not shuck them for you. The lady looked at me and said no she has never had to do them or would. I find it interesting because every other Whole Foods I have been to has been able to shuck them.

May 11 at 6pm we were at Whole Foods hot bar when a woman came by with a black poodle, there was no service dog labeling, no indication. It was a companion animal, and because the dog was jumping up on the guy she was with it couldn’t have been a service animal because it was not very well trained. She then put the dog in a shopping cartand continue to walk around the food bar. This is what we don’t like if you like your dog that’s fine my choices. I don’t want to see a dog near food so please you shouldn’t allow dogs inside unless you stop selling food from a food bar.

I visited the Whole Foods in North Raleigh at 8710 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, NC today. The parking lot was clean and very full. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. The store was well stocked, and I was happy to find my new favorite peach salsa. However, I did notice a few items and pieces of paper on the floor. There was a paper near a purple bag that appeared to have FAP or FAR written on it, which wasn’t a great look. The aisles seemed a bit smaller than usual, and it got especially crowded in the aisle where they have the Annie’s mac and cheese. The hot food bar was inconsistent — one end didn’t look very appetizing, while the other end looked much better. I also noticed the orchids weren’t looking very lively or upright. On the positive side, the staff was professional, helpful, and friendly — especially the lady who checked us out. They even had some super cute leftover Valentine’s Day stickers and told us we could have some, which was really cool 😊. Overall, I would still recommend this location. There is room for improvement when it comes to floor cleanliness and presentation in certain areas.
